Sir Richard Branson proclaimed he was one of the 'proudest grandparents in the world' when his daughter Holly gave birth to twins on December 20, 2014.

The Virgin mogul is clearly enjoying the novelty of being a grandparent and today (Monday, January 19) shared an adorable photo of himself gazing lovingly at his grandchildren, Artie and Etta, as they sleep in matching Moses baskets in their parents' kitchen.

The twins' birthday holds extra special significance for the Branson family as Holly, 32 and her husband Freddie Andrews got married on Richard's exclusive Caribbean island Necker, on December 20 2011, and the couple share an anniversary with Sir Richard and his wife Joan.

Richard, 64, started 2015 as a new grandfather-of-two, but he will very soon be a grandfather-of-three, as his son Sam Branson's wife Isabella Calthorpe is pregnant.

Sam and Isabella announced that they were expecting their first baby just one month after his sister announced her own pregnancy.

Last year it was revealed that Kate Winslet and her husband Ned Rocknroll's baby son Bear had been promised a free flight into space by Ned's uncle, Sir Richard – when he's old enough.

Perhaps now Bear will be joined on his voyage by Artie, Etta and their soon-to-be-born cousin.
