A dad has every right to be proud when his daughter says 'I love you' for the first time – especially when that baby is only SEVEN WEEKS OLD.

It sounds unbelievable, doesn't it? And, surely, if true, just the baby getting some trapped wind out, no?

Well, not according to 25-year-old dad Ali Sufi.

In a YouTube video, he said just a few weeks after she was born in late December, his daughter Ariana began making lots of gurgling and babbling noises.

"She's always been a talkative baby," he said.

But he couldn't believe his ears when he was tucking her in for an afternoon nap and he told her he loved her and she answered, clearing repeating 'love you' – easily trumping seven-week-old Cillian McCann from Belfast last week who uttered a mere 'Hello' to his delighted family.

At first, Ali thought he was imagining things – and so did his partner Fatima, 22, - until she heard it for herself.

The couple were so amazed that they decided to film little Ariana to see if she said it again.

And, as you can see in their video, she duly obliged.

What do you think? A little genius or trapped wind?
