Tinder has announced that it is launching its own version of Twitter and Facebook's Verified profiles. It'll provide celebrities and athletes with a blue tick to show that their profile is real.
Dating via Tinder is already widely considered to be one of the most awkward things a human being can do, but just to make it that extra bit daunting the company is now letting you know when you're potentially about to match with someone famous.
Of course the dating game goes both ways and while you might be nervous, celebrities could well be finding that people simply won't believe they're who they say they are, which isn't a great start to any blossoming relationship.
In a blog post announcing the feature Tinder says:
"Starting today, you may see a verified symbol on some profiles. Now when notable public figures, celebrities and athletes appear in your recommendations, you’ll know it’s for real."

On the other hand there's the thought that celebrities might have actually enjoyed the relative anonymity that comes with potentially dating people that are outside of their current circles. Well either way they'll now have that choice.Suggest a correction
