First Trailer For 'The Jungle Book' Is Insanely Good

Disney has released the first Trailer for the forthcoming "The Jungle Book"... and it looks remarkable. Director Jon Favreau, best known for "Iron Man" and "Swingers," helms the live action picture, with voices provided by Ben Kingsley, Scarlett Johansson, Idris Elba and Bill Murray. The film is scheduled to hit theatres in April next year.

In a recent interview about the film, Favreau said the remake would boast some mythic elements. He said:

You have the Kipling stuff, which has a really strong mythic theme, which is great for a big movie like that. I love big themes and a hero’s journey and the whole Joseph Campbell aspect of it, but then you also have this personality of the Walt Disney film -- which, although tonally is different than what we’re doing, there’s a lot of great images and feelings that I remember from being a kid that I’d love to incorporate using today’s technology and storytelling techniques.
