Nadia Sawalha got more than she bargained for on Thursday’s (1 October) ‘Loose Women’, when she ended up with a face-full of pie, live on telly.
The panel had been talking to Chris Tarrant, who was given the pie in a nod to his previous stint hosting the children’s TV show, ‘Tiswas’.
As a man dressed as the Phantom Flan-Flinger (ask your mum), presented Chris with the dessert, he joked: “I wasn’t expecting this, but now it’s here…”
Needless to say, this warranted a particularly strong reaction from the panel, with Gloria Hunniford in particular looking nervous about what was to come.
What a shot
Chris then rose from his seat and made a break for Andrea McLean, though it was eventually Nadia Sawalha who was on the receiving end of a pie-ing.

The former ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ host joked, “this is for all men”, before putting the pie straight in Nadia’s face.
Chris and Nadia kiss and make up
We know - it's not big, it's not clever, but whether you're eight or 80, there'll always be something funny about someone getting a pie in their face.
Luckily, Nadia was a good sport, and made light of the embarrassing moment on her Twitter page:
Chris is currently promoting his show, ‘Chris Tarrant: Extreme Railway Journeys’, the second series of which kicks off tonight.
Despite having a long career in telly, he recently told us that he was keen to “play a serial killer” in a drama, joking: “[I would want] to be one of those people who slowly turns. I like to believe they'd never guess it was me.”
