Yamaha Motors Unveil Bike-Riding Humanoid Robot Motobot Created To 'Surpass' Humans

Yamaha Motors' Bike-Riding Robot Just Issued A Terrifying Warning To Humans

Yamaha Motors has unveiled a surprisingly capable humanoid robot that has been created to 'surpass' humans.

In a video, Motobot can be seen expertly making its way around a race track, while warning motorcycle champion Valentino Rossi, that it could surpass him.

The machine appears to have the eery ability to treat the bike like a human would, changing gears and executing almost perfect clutch-control.

However, the bot is still in its infancy as it requires a pair of training wheels to achieve balance.

According to Yamaha, the final aim is to allow Motobot to ride an unmodified bike, similar to the ones we would ride, at a speed of around 124 miles per hour.

In the video it can be heard saying: "I am improving my skills every day, but I am not sure I can even beat the five-year-old yo. perhaps if I learn everything about you, I will be able to catch up...I was created to surpass you..."

Motobot is undoubtedly an exciting, but slightly terrifying, spin on driverless cars that also seem to be able to function without the need for humans.

Maybe our robotic overlords are closer to taking over than we think.
