‘Britain’s Got Talent’ is clearly off to a flying start, with judge Amanda Holden already having been wowed by one act in particular, who received her golden buzzer.

The ‘BGT’ auditions kicked off for another year in Liverpool on Friday, and just a day later, Amanda had already chosen the act she wanted to put immediately through to the live shows.

All four of the judges, as well as presenters Ant and Dec, are allowed to push the golden buzzer for an act only once per series, which immediately gives the act a fast pass to the live shows, regardless of what the rest of the panel think.

In previous years this has led to acts like singer Callum Scott, child hip-hop duo Bars & Melody and dancers Paddy and Nico making it through to the live shows (as well as quirky singer Lorraine Bowen, chosen by David Walliams).

But while usually the golden buzzer isn’t to be pressed lightly, it seems Amanda has already been pushed to press it for one hopeful, as revealed on fellow judge David Walliams’ Twitter page on Saturday evening.

The identity of Amanda’s golden buzzer act will be kept a secret until the new series of ‘BGT’ kicks off later this year.

The upcoming series will act as Amanda’s tenth on the panel, as the only judge to have appeared on every series of the ITV talent show, and she suggested last year that it could also be her last.

‘BGT’ is thought to be returning to our screens in the spring.
