Talent Cupboard Launches CV Builder To Help Graduates Land Their Dream Job

With Talent Cupboard we're looking to help young people create a CV that's built for the 21st Century, as well making it easier for employers to find the right people by being able to intelligently search through a database of skills.

Today I'm thrilled to announce the launch of my new company, Talent Cupboard, with the aims of shaking up the way that employers approach graduate recruitment.

According to research from Incomes Data Services, businesses are set to hire 18% more graduates than last year, which should be good news for the 350,000 students set to enter the labour market this summer.

However, there still appears to be a disconnect between leaving the world of academia and entering the workforce. Research from the Association of Graduate Recruiters indicates that 87% of Britain's leading employers are struggling to fill vacancies, due to the poor standard of graduate job applications.

The biggest advancement in the last 20 years of applying for a job has been emailing your CV. It seems backwards that today's graduates are still sending plain, uninteresting documents to employers whilst trying to get across their personality and skills as succinctly as possible.

With Talent Cupboard we're looking to help young people create a CV that's built for the 21st Century, as well making it easier for employers to find the right people by being able to intelligently search through a database of skills.

Talent Cupboard is looking to help bridge the gap between academia and the workplace by making it easier for young people to better showcase their skills and stand out from the crowd. A large emphasis is placed on using video to help give employers a quick preview of potential candidates. This combined with being able to search for specific skills is going to allow employers to not just passively receive applications, but to identify and reach out to the graduates they really want.

The CV building tool makes it easy to create a CV that is optimised for employers and simple for graduates, with a step-by-step guide to completion to ensure nothing is missing.
