Stephen Bayley is a renowned author and outspoken commentator on modern culture and design; and former Chief Executive of the Design Museum in London. His latest books, Woman as Design: Before, Behind, Between, Above, Below and Cars: Freedom, Style, Sex, Power, Motion, Colour, Everything, will be published in the U.S. by Octopus Books USA in November 2009.

Bayley writes for numerous publications including: The Daily Mail, The Times, The Observer, The Spectator, The Los Angeles Times, High Life, New Statesman, The Independent, and GQ. He appears frequently on radio and television and lectures at museums and universities around the world. His numerous books include Design: Intelligence Made Visible with co-author Terence Conran, published by Conran Octopus. He lives in London.
