Health And Fitness Is About Lifestyle Not Obsession

It's about consistency not all out effort.

It's balance AND determination

I have trained most my life. Often very hard. Often it has been very time consuming.

Each year the training becomes less of a priority to me as other things require more focus and energy. My nutrition gets more flexible and stricter at the same time. Meaning I eat healthy a lot more often but worry less about deviations from this.

I train less and achieve more. Smart and consistent training and nutrition delivers far more than all out short term efforts.

My motivation to hammer myself with marathon sessions has gone. Results have improved.

My sessions are still hard but they are much more focused. Heavy lifts, progressive overload and calculated volume. My cardio is nearly entirely low intensity. This keeps my will power high for consistency with training and nutrition.

A lot of people end up training for the sake of training. But doing more doesn't alway and often doesn't deliver more.

Training has to be smart, goal focussed and sustainable. As does nutrition.

This article is about lifestyle and making your training fit yours. You don't need hours a day to get results, the best results come from the smartest plan, Not the hardest.

You will need to find time to train of course. But with my custom plans this is easily possible. Weight sessions can be 45min long and done just 3/4 times per week. If cardio factors this can be low intensity and non gym based, so more a lifestyle move than "training". A walk to work, hike with the kids or an evening cycle.

To get serious results you have to enjoy the process. As the people that do best are on this journey their entire life.
