When it comes to martial arts, 76-year-old Meenakshi knows her stuff.

The stick-wielding woman from Vatakara, India, has achieved internet fame this week after a video of her teaching Kalaripayattu went viral.

Kalaripayattu is a martial art that originates from Kerala in Southern India. It is thought to be one of the oldest martial arts, dating back 2,000 years.

In the incredible video below, Meenakshi demonstrates her fierce martial arts skills against a man half her age.

In the video, Meenakshi attacks her opponent quickly and skilfully with a stick.

She is incredibly fast and deft with her weapon - something which has taken her 68 years to perfect.

The clip of Meenakshi in action was uploaded to the Facebook page 'India Arising', where it has had more than one million views.

"This post shows the strength and courage of Indian women," writes the page's author. "She can achieve anything through hard work and determination."

What a woman.
