Regardless of the fact its premiere times are sort of all over the place, Game Of Thrones is the sort of event television that Twitter was made for.

Monday night’s episode (which first aired for die-hard fans in the wee small hours of Monday morning) didn’t disappoint, with reunions, sassy one-liners and, of course, two fire-breathing dragons.

Naturally, plenty of scenes sparked big reactions on social media, and the memes were rolling out in no time. Here are our favourite responses to some of the show’s best moments...

Cersei Lannister not getting her elephants proved to be unintentionally hilarious:

Her choice to then bed Euron Greyjoy was... well, a *choice*:

But as this person pointed out, Cersei usually knows what she’s doing:

Ah, the things you have to do when you’re expecting a child after an incestuous relationship...

In Winterfell Sansa met Daenerys, her potential sister-in-law who is also her aunt. It did not go well:

This analysis of the situation is pretty spot-on:

As is this point about what it felt like:

Thankfully, Tyrion was there to point out Sansa is one of the smartest people left alive:

And people really enjoyed both her astute observations and her ex-husband’s words:

Arya stuck up for her sister too, which was genuinely lovely:

Daenerys and Jon made it clear that their previous hook-up was not a one-off. The dragons were not happy:

Of course, Jon and Dany could change their minds on their relationship status, given that they’re actually nephew and aunt.

This accurate representation of Bran made us chuckle:

In fact, there were loads of good Bran memes:

There were so many reunions and this was 100% all of us as Jon and Arya shared a hug:

Which was followed by the understatement of the century from the youngest Stark sister:

And a moment between her and Gendry. Could they get together?

Someone really needs to check the age gap, though.

We were cheering for Sam as he told Jon that he’s technically a king and not a bastard:

Tormund provided some much-needed comic relief:

Before THE MOTHER OF ALL SCARES.

Forgive the expression, but we completely lost our shit when Lord Umber’s dead body started moving and talking:

Agreed... and we can’t wait for next week’s episode.
