How To Watch Game Of Thrones In The UK

Winter is here.

We’ve been waiting years to say this and now the time has finally come: Game Of Thrones series eight is going to be on our screens in a matter of hours.

Well, it is if you don’t mind sitting up until the early hours.

The final series of the hit HBO drama is about to begin and in the next six weeks, we’ll find out who lives, dies and (most importantly) ends up on the Iron throne.

But given that it airs on Sky Atlantic, tuning in won’t necessarily be easy – so here’s a quick breakdown of the easiest ways to watch.

HBO

Stay up until 2am and tune in live

Sky and HBO are simulcasting the new series, airing it her in the UK as it goes out in the States.

As the US takes priority, this means it’ll get its Sky Atlantic debut at 2am on Monday April 15.

It’a surefire way to avoid spoilers but also... 2am? On a school night? This is a tough choice and we’re seriously jealous of anyone making this work for them.

Stay well away from the internet and watch it at 9pm on Monday

The series premiere will get a second Sky Atlantic airing at the more human time of 9pm.

Here at HuffPost UK, we will not be publishing any spoilers before this showing, but bear in mind that the internet (we’re looking at you, Twitter) is likely to be full of details.

Browse at your peril.

Catch up on Now TV

Now TV will once again have the exclusive rights to the episodes, so don’t expect them to appear on your Netflix any time soon.

You can get an entertainment pass for £7.99 a month too and as there are only six episodes – sob! – you won’t need to keep it for long.
