Waitrose Issues Urgent Recall Of Chocolate Products Over Plastic Contamination Fears

If you bought these, do not eat them and return them to store.

Waitrose is recalling four types of its own-brand chocolate over fears they could be contaminated with plastic.

The upmarket retailer announced the recall on Wednesday, with the Food Standards Agency saying the move was a precaution after the potential for contamination was discovered.

The agency said: “If you have bought any of the above products do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”

Waitrose apologised to affected customers and said it would offer full reimbursement.

“We’re very sorry to our customers for this.”
