Tip Ten - Believe in Yourself

The bottom line is:

If you don't believe in yourself, how can you expect anyone else to?

As I've mentioned earlier, people respond to us dependant upon the messages we give them. Ensure you are giving the right messages to others. Give the messages that you have trust and confidence in yourself, you know your talents and skills, your self-belief is high, your EQ is working effectively, your communication skills and connecting abilities are alive, healthy and hugely efficient and everyone will benefit from having you around.

Most people on this planet are motivated by fear. This can manifest in a variety of ways from mild to extreme, but will inevitably have an effect on the person themselves, what they believe they can achieve, the relationships they are able to attract (both personal and professional) and how far they are prepared to reach in their lives.

Make sure that you address any fears that may be holding you back in any area of your life. If necessary, get someone to help you. This can be a friend, family member or a professional skilled at assisting people to work through their blocks.

Go back through the steps outlined previously to overcome hurdles, challenges and self imposed mountains. Remember Tip Four - the only person who will get in your way is you.

Try the following exercise:

Get a sheet of paper and a pen.

  • Sit quietly and undisturbed, close your eyes and visualise your ideal future where you have achieved your dreams, you are the person you know you can be and you have stepped into your full potential.
  • Imagine the route to this future had no blocks, challenges or limitations in the way, the road was clear and the journey was effortless.
  • If there were no other considerations, and all things were possible, who would you be? What would you be doing? Where would you be living?
Then open your eyes and allow yourself to write down whatever bubbles up into your conscious mind, don't judge or censor what you write, remember these have come from your unconscious initially, and your unconscious has all the answers you need.

Then write down what steps you need to take to get started, make sure they are realistic and measurable and remember to always put a timescale against them, then GET STARTED! The only person to stop you is you, and you're not going to do that are you?
