Playing with my shiny New Myspace profile as I would any other new toy, I was banging around trying to break things. This boundary-pushing adventure landed me on the 404 error page.
Australian boutique digital agency Josephmark (We Are Hunted, The Global Mail) have stretched their attention to design detail even here: I was delighted when I found a playlist of songs that play for exactly four minutes and four seconds.
"We're sorry, we can't find the page you're looking for. But what we can do is offer you this special mix of tunes with running time of exactly 4:04. Just click on the album covers, or one of the links below, and enjoy."
The playlist contains a number of songs that hit right on 4:04, such as Boyz II Men's "I'll Make Love To You", but a few misses in the mix with "Come Into My World" by Kylie Minogue hitting 4:05 and "I'm Like A Bird" by Nelly Furtado coming in at 4:02.
But it is fun trying to figure out all the new in New Myspace, so I best get back to trying to break it.
