Late Summer Lovin'

As the maiden entry for our new blog I debated long and hard on how to start... and I decided to create a late (and let's face it optimistic) Summer loving (had me a bla-a-a-ast, wrote me a blo-o-o-og) - sing it - it sounds better...

As the maiden entry for our new blog I debated long and hard on how to start... and I decided to create a late (and let's face it optimistic) Summer loving (had me a bla-a-a-ast, wrote me a blo-o-o-og) - sing it - it sounds better...

I hope you find this interesting - but ummm - could you lie to me if you don't and just say 'wow this is truly fascinating and exciting and life changing' because it is tough to go first!

So here goes:

Summer loving - Beauty:

Clinique Lash Power Mascara... amazing stuff it totally stays put until you remove it with warm water and then it kind of rolls off your eyes like black gummy worms (nice!)

Frederic Maille - En Passant, A beautiful summer fragrance that smells like lilac trees bending in the breeze. light and dreamy with a touch of poetry.

Chantecaille - I love their foundation for it's tone and it's texture but I like to look make-up free so I blend it with our Love your Life Lines to make my perfect tinted moisturiser - for naked looking skin.

Latisse - my eyelash miracle, your lashes will grow, really long, and you will no longer need Clinique mascara! Annoyingly you can only buy it in the US, but beg or bully anyone America-bound to buy you some!

Eye Know - our amazing amazing moisturising, anti-aging and lifting eye serum - my best tip is a pre-makeup layer of eye know because it has the gorgeous effect of 8 hours sleep in 60 seconds on my knackered eyes.

Red Lipstick - Can you think of one other thing in the world that makes you feel French, sexy and powerful in one quick swipe? I am not loyal to any brand but am devoted to the concept!

Summer loving - Fun:

OK this bit is very London-centric so feel free to skip this if you are not hanging in this fine city soon...

I am loving all the amazing cocktail bars that are popping up around London with the whole speakeasy vibe I enjoyed in NYC. Check these out if you are on the lookout for a London drinking den:

Purl, Worship Street Whistling Shop, Lounge Bohemia or the newest which I haven't (yet!) checked out is The Mayor of Scaredy Cat Town. Worth visiting some of them for the names alone, right?

At present, I am loving two restaurants above all others:

Bob Bob Riccard, in Soho. Great food, great design and a button that says 'push for champagne' - love that (am thinking of putting one by the side of my bed - although it won't actually result in anything but a source of personal amusement!)

Riding House Cafe - in Noho. Really good food, and such a lovely hang out vibe. We love it here!

Well that is all for now - lets here it for late summer lovin'!
