Daniel Martin

Member of the Economist Intelligence Unit's Global Forecasting Team

Daniel Martin is a member of the Economist Intelligence Unit's Global Forecasting Team, which is responsible for formulating the company's core views on global economic trends. He is also the lead analyst on the US and Canada.

Prior to his current role, Daniel spent three years in the EIU's Asia team, covering Indonesia, the Philippines and Australia.

In addition to his regular monthly reports on the global, US and Canadian economies, Daniel has worked on numerous custom projects, including analysis of Indonesian agriculture for the Gates Foundation and analysis of microfinance in Indonesia, Singapore’s efforts to become a creative city, and Singapore’s record as a green city, all for EIU-published projects.

Before joining the EIU Daniel worked as an economist at Business Monitor International.

Daniel has a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge.
