Peter Wride

Semi Retired English teacher

Peter Wride is a middle aged married man with an
abiding love of all things nice; this extends to his wife, children,
friends and, on occasion, his cat. Peter has taught in the state sector
for nearly thirty years and does not feel a single moment of regret, no
really he doesn't!

Peter is re-discovering the joys of reading fiction
now that he no longer has to teach it and he remains a long time fan of
Seamus Heaney whom he regards as the greatest poet alive today. In his
spare time, Peter likes to cook, walk, drive and attempt an
understanding of his digital camera. According to Peter, the last music
worth listening to was recorded in the mid-1970s although he does
consider himself very trendy as he owns a cd by Aloe Blacc and has just
discovered 50s jazz legend Stan Getz.
