Jeremy Corbyn is a politician in England who I believe in, which is why I then paid the extortionate and exclusive fee of £25 to vote in the second leadership election. This time I received a letter from Iain McNicol, General Secretary of The Labour Party, explaining, 'A panel of the National Executive Committee (NEC) has considered your application, and has decided to reject it on the grounds that you tweeted in support of the Green Party on 8th May 2015'.
I'd urge anybody on the left that thinks the post-Brexit coup was a good idea to get real... David Cameron is leaving a country that is among the most unequal in Europe and where food bank use is at a record high. It's Labour's job to point out these failures - that's literally what the party is supposed to be for.

I am a member of the Liberal Democrats, but I write this piece as a member of the left more generally. And it's really quite a simple one. Looking at the results of last week's election, we fundamentally failed and were catastrophically wrong. Parties on the left have stopped responding to the electorate, and started talking at them instead.
