The Legoland theme park has recently re-opened for the 2010 season, and the newest attraction is a pirate-themed area. However, a day out at a theme park can be an expensive one for any family. So here are three ways you can lighten the bill by getting some free tickets:
1. Use Tesco Clubcard vouchers
Just £10 in Clubcard vouchers will buy you a day pass to the Windsor theme park, and £20 will secure a yearly pass. More details here. Maybe one of your friends or family has a few Clubcard vouchers they're not using and could pass on?
2. Look out for the special offers on Green's cake mix
This is really a triple win situation, because you get a fun activity, a free ticket and some cake. Can't say fairer than that. From April to September 2010, if you buy a pack of selected Green's cake mixes from just £1.49, you'll get free child entry (*with a full paying adult) to Legoland Windsor and a bunch of other attractions, saving you up to £28.
In the kids range your little ones can enjoy Tom and Jerry, Dora the Explorer, Thomas the Tank Engine and Dennis the Menace cake mixes. Plus, for the adults Green's have also included some of their family favourites in the offer so you can indulge in the Velvety Cheesecake, Lemon Meringue Crunch or Butterfly Tops. Widely available from all leading supermarkets.
3. Enter the pirate joke competition
OK, so this is a longer shot compared to the other two, but it still sounds like fun, and you could win free tickets for your whole family.
Everyone loves a good laugh and to get you all giggling Legoland Windsor is looking to compile a top ten of the best pirate jokes ever, to celebrate the opening of new attraction Pirates Landing. Do you know an aaaaarrrrhhhh-mazing pirate joke? Can you deliver a punch line like the funniest comedian? Then you can get involved in the quest too!
Wearing your finest pirate costume, film yourself telling the best pirate joke you know. You can tell your joke with the help of your best friends or get your whole family in the shot too!
