Diamond Phones, The Deluxe iPhone Alternatives

Still making calls on an iPhone 4? Sorry to hear it. The new batch of seriously covetable phones is much more deluxe, including the diamond-encrusted Dior Phone Touch, covered in diamonds and made with sapphire crystal, steel, gold, diamond and mother-of-pearl. And you thought your bedazzled phone cover was blingy.

Dior's touch-screen phone, is their second venture into mobile communication, and upgrades their offering from the Dior flip. It packs a 3.2" screen with 854x480 pixels resolution, a 5MP camera and microSD card slot all assemble by hand in Dior's workshop in France. It's on sale now for €3900 at Colette, Paris. You can buy the diamond-encrusted edition from Dior for £85,000, though if that's an option for you, you most likely won't need us to tell you how.

Tag Heuer fans will be delighted with the chunky deluxe phone they have on offer. Similar in style to their sporty watches, it too is available at Colette, Paris, from €4700 to €6200. The Link model of these Android phones incorporates alligator leather and stainless steel and a watch-like knob, so should coordinate nicely with your boat etc.

If touch screens are not your thing, and you prefer to push a few buttons, there's a gold-plated Mobiado for you at Colette for €5000. But that's now been superceded by an Aston Martin x Mobiado collab phone dubbed The Grand 350. Features include a 2.36-inch 271-carat sapphire crystal screen, stainless steel keys, quad-band antenna, Bluetooth, micro USB connector and GPS. What The Grand 350 lacks in screensize, it makes up for in Aston Martin logos. That's not yet available in store, but a quick word with your local Aston Martin dealer will no doubt secure you one.
