The Lovie Awards 2011: 13 Gold Winners

The Lovie Awards love-in is on tomorrow night in London, where these 13 prize-winners, along with a score of other worthy contenders, will celebrate their digital mastery at the end of Internet Week Europe.

Viral video from Greenpeace and The English National Opera have scooped a gold award, along with the Twitter Knitter social knitting project and more recognisable sites like BBCGoodFood, ASOS marketplace and TheOutnet.

The Lovies are the UK and Europe's version of the more established Webby awards, which have been patting digital people on the back for 16 years.

The awards recognise digital excellence in any kind of format, from apps to video, web design and news. Yes, we humbly admit, this site is one of the gold prize winners.

Not every winning project could be embedded here, so click through for the full experience on the Philips 'obsessed with sound' site, and watch Inside Syria, the Vice documentary.
