Apple To Unveil 'iTV' Voice Command Television

Apple is set to unveil a television that can be controlled by voice commands and gestures, it has been reported.

According to the Guardian, Apple have commissioned Japanese technology firm Sharp to begin production of the TV screens in February.

In keeping with Apple's other products it is set to known as the "iTV", although as the Metro notes the company may have some trouble naming it that in the United Kingdom.

Apple's entrance into the TV market was mentioned by Jobs to his biographer shortly before his death.

"I'd like to create an integrated television set that is completely easy to use," he said. "It would be seamlessly synced with all of your devices and with iCloud. It will have the simplest user interface you could imagine. I finally cracked it."
