All I Want For Christmas Is You: Crew On HMS Ocean Sing Christmas Hit

Aviation crew on HMS Ocean, the largest ship in the royal navy, made a Christmas DVD singing ‘All I want for Christmas is You’ after hearing they will be back in Britain for Christmas after seven and a half months away.

Mouthing the words to Mariah Carey’s hit single, the aviation crew on board the naval ship, pose semi naked holding life float rings, waving spanners and even pop out from toilet cubicles.

Reminiscent of the British Army's rendition of 'Is This The Way To Amarillo' filmed in Iraq, this crew will be very happy to be reach British shores on 9 December 2011. The sailors have missed their children’s exam results, summer holidays, and five people have even had to go home so they wouldn’t miss their own weddings.

The ship has been diverted to Libya and other operations, while at home babies were born and one father even missed his own daughter’s graduation.

After 176 days at sea, its clear that despite their sense of humour that this crew will be happy to come home. Let's wish the sailors a safe passage home.

There I was thinking the Navy was all "Rum, Sodomy and the Lash" as Churchill said....Seems they have more fun than even the former quote lets on :-O

Welcome home, Britain's Finest.

Brilliant -- good old-fashioned pantomime fun going on here. Not Rum, S* & Lash old-fashioned -- well, maybe just a bit. And most Americans just won't get it -- we've forgotten Uncle Miltie entirely. Indeed, sometimes I think we've lost our collective sense of humor entirely. Be that as it may...

There is a lot of talent on that ship, and creativity. And methinks they are a very happy crew, the return home for Christmas notwithstanding. Seems like there is at least one excellent people manager aboard. HMS Ocean rules the waves!! Happy Christmas to all service men and women, both home and abroad.

I think all the music channels should swap Maria's video for this one for this xmas!!

This gave me a chuckle this morning and laughed all the way through. To Blindstu, what's with the moan? They made a Xmas clip that wasn't about having to be away at xmas working on the ship and complaining about the Navy. Get off your soap box and enjoy the video for what it is.

What's the matter with those guys, as a retired merchant seaman who spent 40 years at sea, I only spent about 10 Christmas's at home and one voyage I did was two and a half years long. How much family life did I miss? I thought our navy was much stronger.....apparently not. In all my years at sea, I saw the Royal Navy in a foreign port about four times...yes, four times, so the myth that Britannia rules the world becomes a complete joke and if any Navy rules the world today, it would have to be the US Navy because they are everywhere.

Oh give me a break, your comment is pathetic. What you are saying is that since you once ate raw manure that nobody else ever has the right to complain about the taste of their food.

The guys were happy they were getting home for the holidays, nothing wrong with that.

Not me.....what's pathetic is your reply to my comment.
