Hip-hop superstars Jay-Z and Kanye West had money to burn this Christmas after banking a reported $6 million (£3.8 million) for staging a private concert in the United Arab Emirates.

The best pals wrapped up their joint US tour earlier this month and headed to Dubai shortly before Christmas to perform a lucrative gig for the niece of billionaire Manchester City Football Club owner Sheikh Mansour, in celebration of her 16th birthday.

According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, the pair played a series of tracks from its collaborative album Watch The Throne and completed the set with a number of solo hits.
