Incredible Boundary Catch Proves That Cricket Can Still Be Damn Exciting (Video)

WATCH: Incredible Cricket Catch

Bevan Small, take a bow. After all, you've just acheived worldwide fame for the catch of the century: a leap-into-the-air, throw-it to-a-team-mate, just-off-the-boundary number that's arguably the best we've ever seen.

The jaw-dropping catch took place during New Zealand's HRV Twenty20 Cup, with the 19-year-old substitute fielder for Central Stags leaping for a ball seemingly knocked for six by the Northern Knights' Brad Wilson.

But a six it was not, with umpires carefully going over camera footage to check the catch was legal before declaring Wilson out.

The incident took place last Friday, with the match eventually won by eight wickets by the Knights - meaning that despite having a slow-motion replay uber-catch, they didn't manage to do much more batting-wise.

Still Bevan Small was the real winner of the day - much like Everton goalie Tim Howard and his 100 yard wonder goal... which eventually made the final score 2-1 instead of 2-0.

For a bit of comparison, here's a video gallery of cricket's other finest catches, boasting everyone from Andy Bichel to... well, you'll see. Trust us, you won't be disappointed.
