Loose Women star Denise Welch has been crowned the winner of Channel 5's Celebrity Big Brother.

She was hugged and congratulated by X Factor reject Frankie Cocozza who received the second highest number of votes to become the runner-up of this year's series.

Earlier in the programme, former captain of the Welsh rugby team Gareth Thomas, glamour girl twins Kristina and Karissa Shannon and Reservoir Dogs actor Michael Madsen were evicted from the house.

Welch, who looked shocked and broke down in tears when she was named as the winner, was a prominent figure in this year's series.

She had a love/hate relationship with actor Madsen, and sparked the biggest argument of the series earlier this week when she pulled down
one of the twin's pyjamas during a boozy night.

Moments before leaving the house, she punched the air and said: "I'm ready when you are."

Welch, who wore a black sequinned dress, exited the house to a cheering crowd and exposed her cleavage before greeting presenter Brian Dowling.

Nominations and voting rigged in favour of losers like her. If people had been able to nominate and the public been able to vote for people to leave rather than voting for a winner she would heve been out in the first week.

It is quite incomprehensible to believe, that people actually vote, or even watch this pathetic rubbish.. to enhance the failing careers of spent celebrities.......

The majority of my viewing/reading knowledge of this programme is because of Denise Welch's appearance in the programme. I certainly wouldn't watch a whole programme/s through, but merely read the resulting comments in various newspapers.
Let's say most guests who appear on reality shows are as you say spent celebrities trying to enhance or gain a career.
Denise was far from this as she has a popular career on Loose Women and so had more to lose if she failed miserably. What you see is what you gets with that woman ! Like it or lump it she dares to go above the norm and doesn't suffer fools gladly. If people find fault with what she is or does to amuse the public she will take the blame and suffer the results accordingly.
So far the public realise this is a true person who we all love faults and all.

The former Coronation Street actress told viewers of the ITV chat show Loose Women that her car had been stolen.
Denise Welch thought her car had been stolen
Denise, apologised to police for the mix-up and admitted she was "mortified" by her mistake.
"I am so embarrassed. I just want to apologise to the lovely Cheshire Police for wasting their time and energy because I thought that I'd left it at Macclesfield Station. I was sure," she said. "So I reported it to the police because I thought maybe it had been towed away, but it hadn't, so therefore it was stolen. So I've had the police looking at CCTV."
Denise, who said she thought the car had been parked at Macclesfield Station, for about four days, added: "My son, who's been away recording in Exeter, got back last night and said 'Mum apparently it's been all over the telly that you've had your car stolen. Would that be the black Rodius that's in the car park at the Rectory pub in Wilmslow?'"
The actress admitted her SsangYong Rodius "was in the pub car park".
Denise, who suffers from being a coke head and has previously admitted alcohol problems, added: "I honestly swear, hand on my heart, I swear this is not a drink-related incident.
"It's not, because I parked it there because I couldn't get into the car park at Wilmslow. I parked it in there with jet lag."

As far as I could see she didn't do much except drink a lot, argue a lot and expose her chest a lot....oh and behave like a slapper in a hot tub with a boy young enouch to be her grandson.
I dread to think what her sons will think about her behaviour.

Out of all the five finalists, I really don't believe any one of them would have been a worthy winner! The two with the most dignity in the show I thought were Gareth and Romeo.

what a complete embarrasement of a winner, taking base to a new level - we don't want to see your boobs, you constantly challenged other women and even on the BBLB aftershow seemed to be raging for a fight with the show host. On the BB show most of the guys sat there in sheer horror whilst all these 'girl yobs' were scrapping. Get some Karma.
