Not Crufts But Scrufts: Dog Show For The Ordinary Pet Pooch (Pictures)

As Crufts kicks off at the NEC Birmingham, pooches are being primped, preened and primed for the world's largest dog show, hosted by the Kennel Club.

But as prize-winning poodles and pomeranians strut their stuff, what about our less than perfect pets?

Our muddy mongrels may not win any rosettes for their furniture-chewing antics, but we love them all the same.

In celebration of all the normal happy-go-lucky dogs splashing down country lanes this weekend, The Huffington Post UK appealed for pictures of your doggy children.

And what handsome healthy creatures they are. Take a look below: every dog's a winner at The Huffington Post UK dog show, the aptly named Scrufts.
