He famously had hair plugs just last summer, but Wayne Rooney was looking somewhat thin on top when he appeared at Aintree alongside his wife Coleen on Thursday.
The 27-year-old had follicles of hair taken from the back and sides of his head and implanted into the front and crown in a procedure known as follicular unit extraction.
The Manchester United striker tweeted news of his £30,000 thatch transplant, admitting he was “delighted”.
But the father-of-one’s scalp is now clearly visible through his mop, begging the question, was it money well spent?
