Second Person Collapses After Eating A ‘Bypass' Burger At The Heart Attack Grill

The infamous restaurant that makes people wear hospital gowns when they order their ‘bypass burger’ got their ‘flatliner fries’ in a twist when a greedy punter collapsed with a suspected heart attack – at The Heart Attack Grill.

The 40-something unnamed woman allegedly enjoyed her calorific fat feast, as well as cigarettes and margarita cocktails, before she collapsed, according to the Medical Daily.

An ambulance arrived at the scene shortly and the woman is expected to recover.

This is the second heart attack casualty at the notorious eatery in Las Vegas after another diner suffered heart failure after chomping on a 6,000kcal ‘triple bypass burger’.

The restaurant, which also serves up ‘flatliner fries’ and 9,983 kcal ‘quadruple bypass burgers’ presented by waitresses dressed up as nurses, opened last October. It is currently holds the Guinness World Record for having the highest amount of calories ever in a burger.

Although the restaurant claims that it warns hungry diners about its fat-infested patties, people still flock back for more – probably because the grill offers free meals for super-sized people over 350 pounds.

"Who doesn't want to risk a little danger every once in a while," Basso told CBS This Morning following the February heart attack. "If I can put danger back into hamburgers, all the better,” restaurant owner Jon Basso told USA Today.

Only by-pass here was one of common sense and moderation.

This one would be a challenge for Jamie Oliver!!!

Seriously though, free meals to fatties over 350lbs, and one burger that contains nearly 5 days worth of calories....how is that legal?! Oh, sorry, I forgot, it's America.

LOL only in America, what outcome could you possibly expect from a Restaurant called Heart Attack Grill, on a more serious note, I hope she gets better and makes a change to her lifestyle and take this as a pre-warning!!

They keep telling us " everything is bigger in America " maybe they should have width restrictions at the entrance ' you can't go on this ride if you are this wide ' ( no turning sideways now ! )

If there were places like this in the UK, there would be a public outcry as the people that eat this kind of food in those massive portions are costing the NHS a fortune. Eating like this is irresponsible and immoral.

Highly unlikely the actual burger did for her. More likely a combination of previous very unhealthy lifestyle, the cigarettes and alcohol coupled to a gut stretchingly large meal will have raised her BP and tipped her over the edge of the precipice she was already standing on.She was, it seems, ann overwieght smoker and drinker very bad combo that whatever restuarant she went to.

Thank goodness for a balanced post. A refreshing change from the usual "ban it immediately" brigade. At some point we are all responsible for our own actions, and surely there should be a limit to the effort that society will make to protect us from the consequences of our own stupidity.

Agree totally but the eatery isn't doing anyone like this any favours by promoting unhealthy eating. The amount of calories consumed in any one of their burgers is disgusting. That's America for you I suppose and hopefully nothing like this will be able to come here as our own obesity problems are getting out of control.

Well it's called the Heart attack grill so what do people expect. In this day and age I'm shocked that the Americans don't take them to court if they don't have a coronary there. As far as I'm concerned you can skip the burger. Just seeing a load of waitresses dressed as nurses would probably finish me off.

I don't think this can be blamed on THE burger she was eating at the time. I suspect it is just another meal in a long history of excess. Just a guess.

The sickest thing of all is that this restaurant offers free food to fatties! They shouldn't be allowed to do that.

why don't they eat the woman who died.
