RPG fans, are you ready? Diablo III has just launched in the UK.

Diablo fans are no doubt playing the game right now, but for the newbs and the uninitiated, the story goes like this:

It has been twenty years since the Prime Evils were defeated and banished from the world of Sanctuary. An omen that the End Times have begun has appeared and you are back in the game to investigate rumours of a fallen star.

If you're a PC gamer and love role play, it's hard to believe you haven't played Diablo. We've been waiting ten years for this release, and it's got everything you could want in an RPG - lay waste to "legions of evil" throughout randomised, 3D environments, go face-to-face with demon warriors, get involved in noble quests and bad yourself some loot.

Yes well done for once again stopping a post from me with nothing in it breaking any rules. Want to congratulate you on ensuring that in 3/4 months i can leave my AOL contract as i will pay it off and move to BT or Virgin. Have been with AOL since 1999 must be 1 of the longest members in the UK. Just as you can stop some posts on a whim i will be joining the ranks of people leaving. Do not bother point the other post as it has 0 on pending comments.

So well done on losing over £300 per year from me as i line rental as well. IDIOTS.

Blizzard rushed this into release- don't worry. They'll release the first of 11 patches next month. In the meantime, keep grinding 8 hours a day for that one special drop that will change your life forever...until the next patch and something better gets added.

The launch turned into quite a bit of a farce, what with problems galore the game itself is taking a really bad beating in metacritic with a current user rating of 3.6 out of 10, not good at all.
