A man was jailed for 11 years today for raping a drunken 15-year-old girl who was filmed as she was sexually assaulted by a number of men.

Ali Rehman, 26, was sentenced at Leeds Crown Court for his part in the attack on the teenager in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, in May 2010, the Crown Prosecution Service said.

The schoolgirl was "treated as little more than an object, something to use and abuse", an earlier hearing was told.

Rehman admitted raping the victim earlier this year.

Another man, Faisar Younas, who admitted sexual activity with a child, was jailed for four years today.

A third defendant, Larasab Hussain, will be sentenced later.

Earlier this year, the trial was halted after pleas were entered by Rehman, Younas and Hussain.

The court heard then how the girl was taken to three different houses in Dewsbury where she was raped and sexually assaulted.

Video clips showing the naked teenager being indecently touched by some of the men were shown to the jury during the opening of the trial.

A prosecutor told the aborted trial the video recovered on one of the men's mobile phones showed part of a series of sexual assaults on the complainant.

The barrister said: "She is seen to be distressed and naked while being abused both physically and verbally by Ali Rehman and others."

She said: "She was being treated as little more than an object, something to use and abuse."

The court heard how the girl went to Rehman's house with a friend after meeting him with the intention of buying cannabis.

They were drunk after buying a small bottle of vodka earlier in the evening and had more to drink at the house, where the girl became so drunk she could barely walk.

After the girl's friend left, the victim was taken to two more houses, where she was attacked, before she was returned to Rehman's house and found by police.

She was so drunk that Rehman carried her over his shoulder between two of the locations, the court heard.

At first the girl denied anything inappropriate had happened because she was concerned about people finding out what had happened, but she later gave a different account.

Rehman, of Tanhouse Street, Ravensthorpe, Dewsbury, admitted three counts of raping the girl and another count of attempted rape.

Younas, 23, of Textile Street, Dewsbury, admitted sexual activity with a child.

Hussain, 45, of Headfield Road, Savile Town, Dewsbury, admitted a charge of sexual assault. He will be sentenced on July 4.

Earlier this year, the CPS said it would offer no further evidence against three other men who were originally charged and involved in the same trial as Rehman, Younas and Hussain.

After today's sentencing, Andrew Horton, reviewing lawyer with the CPS Yorkshire and Humberside Rape and Serious Sexual Offences Unit, said: "This was a highly disturbing case in which the men preyed on a vulnerable child victim.

"The victim showed tremendous courage in coming forward and being prepared to give evidence at trial.

"We hope that the sentences handed down are some comfort to the victim and that she is now able to begin to rebuild her life."

It's a difficult subject to bring up, but when while the powers that be realise that the teachings of Islam are wholly incompatible with the British way of life? The men that have been imprisoned will have no remorse, just resentment that we do not permit them to carry on as their "religion"
allows. We are being overrun by people who see it as their right to treat the infidel as instructed by the Koran. Our religious freedoms and human rights are starting to erode everything in this Country that generations have worked so hard for. Our leaders meddle in the affairs of other countries, cutting resources for healthcare and education whilst sending money to our underdeveloped enemies. The people of Britain have to go without so that a proportion of our GDP can pay for Pakistani intelligence to hie Osama and his mates.
We need to wake up and realise that we have invited our enemies into our midst, fed, clothed and housed them while they treat our children in this way. There should be a place in Britain for anyone who wishes to work hard, fit in and benefit our great Country, there should be NO place for those who merely want to take from us and cause suffering to others.

I think you put your point accross very well.
I am in agreement with you.
Enough is enough, and it is long overdue that our politicians woke up and paid attention to what is happening on the shop floor of this country.
Too wealthy, too self absorbed and too disinterested in the 'little people' who voted them into office. It is the same accross all three of the main parties, which is why I will never vote for any of them again.

There cannot be any justification for this type of behavior and it serves to show just how much contempt the Muslim community has for the British people. Rape is a very serious crime requiring very serious penalties, I would have no issue with Mr Rehman and his friends receiving the death penalty, I do not wish to share my Country with anyone of any nationality who would gather and subject a woman to such abuse. These girls are all someones' sisters and daughters, justice needs to be seen to be done properly before people start to blame entire ethnic communities.

Not only stiff punishments. The government, police and local community leaders should be ensuring that the people who might do such a vile thing are properly warned of the severe consequences. This will not stop until immigrants from very different cultures appreciate the fact that they have come to a western civilized country that has much more respect for its women than they had back home! In this country women are considered equal to men and therefore allowed to do the same as men, including all the freedoms that would allow.

From the names of those involved it would be reasonable to suggest that their country of origin lay outside the UK. Since all my comments suggesting where these people may originate are being stopped by the moderators it would also be reasonable to suggest that my comments are being unfairly targeted for reasons unknown. Maybe the moderators would care to read the FAQ regarding what is and is not allowed.

PS....also, whilst we generally adhere to the law of the age of consent, 16 years, in Islamic culture a girl is considered a 'woman' as soon as she commences to menstruate.
This fact alone can be taken as a signal to predators, who do not subscribe to our jusrisprudence, that sexual intercourse, forced or consensual, is a quite natural path to follow.
Will the sentences passed on these groups and individuals stop such rapacious behaviour,
I doubt it, simply because most of these folk believe it their Allah given right to despoil as many non Muslim females, as they wish, prior to getting hitched to one of their own, who, of course, MUST be virginal on the night of her wedding.

Failing to be, could invoke a death sentence for the bride, as she will be deemed to have insulted her family and the honour of both families, and the community.,

Point taken scouse55, but this is Britain and therefore British laws apply.

Yes indeed in theory, but we are not talking in practical terms here, we are dealing with a gaggle of people who have not left their unacceptable cultural practices behind when they moved here.
It's not just inappropriate sexual predation on young, females, mainly white, but not exclusively so, it's also the so called honour punishments doled out to their own for transgressing the primitive desert codes these immigrants have brought to our shores from wherever they departed.

Maybe as a devout, (supposedly), Muslim, Baroness Warsi should not just be commenting on racial aspects, but actually getting her feet wet in the cultural quagmire that has been found polluting a great party of some of our inner city ghetto slum areas that seem to be housing these people.

That is another aspect of the massive immigration we have been forced to accept, the fact they literally create little Pakistans, by taking over whole areas of parts of our inner cities, making it almost impossible for ordinary Brftish people to enter, for fear of verbal, and sometimes, physical abuse for daring to enter those ghetto enclaves.

Warsi would be well served by tackling, through her political connections, this sort of unacceptable anti sociability.

words of wisdom scouse.
if our political masters do not start to wake up to what is happening, there is going to be some serious social unrest where entire ethnic groups will be targetted rather than the minority who choose to follow the parts of their religous doctrine, that enables this sort of behaviour.
We NEED a good citezen clause for all who come to this country, any criminal offence, means the offender, and their family, are returned immediately to the place of departure, they can choose which it is to be.

I agree as I have been contributing to various blog sites ever since I got my first computer and went on line, and on all, whenever the subject of Islam has arisen I have been warning of the potential for serious civil strife due entirely to the resistance and refusal of the community to altering their stance, and failing to adopt and accept the cultural mores of their adoptive society.
Moreover, and worse, is the reluctance of the political hierarchy to accept that at street level, when things get rather stressful, the idiotic amongst us tend to take a swipe at anyone or thing deemed to be 'alien' which is why over the centuries other minority groups have suffered at the hands of the mobs.

The difference between all other alienated groups and Islam is, whereas most have arrived here to escape pogroms and maybe tribal antipathetic discord, the very nature and tenets of Islam call for a global take over, with the ultimate aim of imposing Islamic republicanism under which all will be compelled to submit.
Of course the wealthy who dominate our current society will not suffer the pain of such compulsion because they, like the monied hierarchy in Islam will have the financial power to surf the situation.
It's Sharia for all, except those who can afford to ignore what the masses will be expected to abide.
08:01 PM on 05/18/2012
Well at least Baroness Warsi has declared these and other group attacks ARE racial in principle, not bad a declaration from one of their own ethnic background.

However, although she puts it down as a ' race' crime. she was remiss in ignoring the FACT these guys are all Muslims, and it is because of their relationship with the Koranic tenets, and Islamic hadiths, which give licence for this sort of behaviour towards infidel females, be they any colour and not just whites.

That is why slavery is still rife across parts of east Africa, and the middle east in general.

Abduction then rape? One guy gets four years? Sentence should be greater.

Sentencing in the UK is very light compared to the US. I am of the belief that far too many people are in prison and that the justice system needs an overhaul with more focus on restorative justice. But crimes which involve sexual abuse or extreme violence (or both) need much heavier sentencing if only to protect the public.
