Which court will have jurisdiction in Anglo-Argentine affairs anyway? Argentina are using the Falklands as a smokescreen for their economic problems and Spain is doing the same with Gibraltar. Although Spain, who are quite happy to own enclaves in north Africa want us to hand Gibraltar over, they will no doubt come cap in hand to us for money when it is their turn to crash out of the Euro.
Mabye the best short-term solution would be to leave the Falklands oil reserves alone and when Argentina stop sabre-rattling and take a more concilatory approach I am sure that we would be happy to sit down with them to discuss how we can divide up our resources.

The UK rattles sabres, sends warships, ups the nationalist rhetoric and flies flags. Argentina takes a legal route - well played them. This isn't about sovereignty for us - these barren, unloved rocks are 8000 miles away and virtually uninhabitable. It's about oil, gas and money. As long as they share the wealth with the Islanders, let the Argentines have it all... most of the Islanders will most likely take the cash and move somewhere more suitable anyway.
