One Direction Set To Be Worth £64m In A Year After Worldwide Success

One Direction To Double Their Income In A Year

They didn't win The X Factor when they competed in 2010 but One Direction are laughing all the way to the bank now - they're set to be worth £64m by this time next year.

The lads, who are currently worth an estimated £32m, have scored top marks with their record company after racking up a number one with their album in 16 countries and topping the charts with a DVD in 25, and Nick Gatfield, boss of their record label Sony Music UK, claims they'll reap the rewards of their popularity.

He told The Mirror: "We fully expect to double that £32m figure next year. The team around them, including musicians, stylists, producers, tour managers and so on, is 90-strong. That's 90 jobs created by these five boys."

One Direction are set to see their worth rise to £64m

While they'll be able to make some extravagant purchases when they cash their huge pay cheque next year, sensible band member Louis Tomlinson has wasted no time in investing his money in bricks and mortar - he recently bought a £2.5m London home.

A source told The Sun: "Louis' purchase may seem extravagant but it's a safe investment. The property is relatively new and given its location it is unlikely to lose value.

"He's got his head screwed on so he will keep it in good nick. Louis isn't the sort who'll throw a house party and let his friends wreck the place."
