Police Arrest Three After Man's Body Found On Blackpool Beach

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man's body was found on Blackpool beach.

Officers were called at 4am to a report that a body was lying on the beach opposite the Lyndene Hotel between Central and South Pier.

The man is believed to be in his 40s and from the local area.

A post mortem examination will be carried out to try to establish the exact cause of death but it is being treated as suspicious.

Three men aged 27, 38 and 43, all from the local area, have been arrested and will be interviewed by police today.

Detective Chief Inspector Andrea Barrow, of Lancashire Police, said: "We are in the early stages of this investigation and I would appeal for anyone who has any information to get in touch."
