Jessica Ennis, like Victoria Pendleton, has decided to dabble with modelling ahead of the London 2012 Olympics.

The heptathlete, unofficially regarded as the poster girl of the upcoming Games, discusses her preparations ahead of competing and general girly chit-chat in Cosmopolitan magazine.

“The Olympics is massive in itself, but for it to be at home means it’s not just sports fans watching," Ennis said. "It’s everyone! I understand what people expect from me – I think it’s normal for the general public to be putting gold medals around your neck already because they want to see you do well. But I just try to keep things in perspective, stay focused on what I need to do and not get carried away.”
