Your best Edinburgh moment?

Either the time Johnny Vegas was a guest on a panel show I did years ago called On Heat and gave me advice on making a "catcher’s mitt" out of bog roll in case I "shat mesen". Or last year when a lovely Irish lady stopped me in the street and told me she was a Blairite, too.

And your worst?

Getting heartburn off a salad.

You've got one hour free in Edinburgh - what do you do?

Sit in either the Udderbelly Pasture or the Pleasance Courtyard and watch the world go by while supping a few pints.

Which Edinburgh landmark/venue/place would you give a five star review to?

Cowgate. I love the damp gothic feel of it. Beautiful in the rain.

The lasagne pie at Piemaker has to be tried.

Deep-fried haggis or deep-fried Mars bar?

Deep-fried asparagus, mate.

Kilt or trousers?

Depends what for. Trousers for formal events such as funerals or the State Opening of Parliament. Maybe a kilt for something fun like a baby shower or the soft launch of a new detergent brand?
