Kimberley Walsh Gets Strictly Royal Approval

Kimberley Walsh can count on one royal vote as she prepares to kick off her Strictly Come Dancing stint.

The Girls Aloud beauty, who has been tipped to win the contest, has revealed that the Duchess of Cornwall is a big fan of the show after they enjoyed afternoon tea together at Clarence House.

The royal has even vowed to vote for Kimberley once the celebrity competitors take to the dancefloor to show off their moves.

In a post on her Twitter.com page on Tuesday, Kim told fans: "Afternoon tea with the Duchess of Cornwall at Clarence House then off to my first dance lesson!"

After the posh function, she added: "Ooh Charles was there too! Camilla said she'll vote for me on Strictly! Ha! Right time to get my dancing shoes on! You ready Pasha Kovalev?"

Not even several hours of sweaty rehearsals could dampen the singer's spirits - she posted a picture of herself beaming with her partner Pasha, tweeting: "Hi guys! Still smiling at the end of our first day of rehearsal! Dancing is so much fun!!!"

Meanwhile, fellow contestant Jerry Hall has confessed rehearsals have been "really hard work" and warned viewers that her first dance, a Cha-Cha with Anton Du Beke, may not be very impressive.

She said: "Not all fillies ride well the first time out. I’m hoping people won’t expect too much in the beginning at least."
