If you always thought the Harry Potter set was all wand waving and polite chit-chat, think again - it was rife with unrequited love.

Emma Watson has admitted she had a huge crush on her co-star Tom Felton, who played evil Draco Malfoy in the hit movies.

Opening up about her secret desire for Tom, she tells Jonathan Ross: "Between the ages of 10 and 12 I had a really terrible crush on Tom Felton, to the extent that I would go into work in the morning and look down the numbers on the call sheet to see if he was going to be in.

Emma Watson was bewitched by Tom Felton when she was younger

"We love a bad guy, he was a few years older and he had a skateboard - and that just did it really."

We can't imagine her fellow Gryffindors being very happy about that romance.

Last year, that cad Tom revealed Emma's secret, insisting he had known the whole time that the star, who played geeky Hermione Granger, had the hots for him - but he was too busy lusting after the much older Helena Bonham Carter.

He told the Metro: "We've been friends for a long time and it's very flattering. I had a little boy crush on Helena Bonham Carter - she's a very beautiful woman."

Emma's chat with Jonathan Ross will air on ITV on Saturday night.
