Johnny Ball and his partner Iveta Lukosiute were the first 'Strictly' couple to have to make their departure from the dance-floor after losing the first dance-off of the series.

Ball, who had a last-minute change of partner after his original pairing Aliona Vilani hurt her ankle during rehearsals, had to compete against TV presenter Richard Arnold with his partner Erin Boag.

Johnny said before his final spin it was shame it had come down to these four, as they'd had the most fun backstage together, and afterwards he admitted it was the worst dance he'd done in his whole run.

Denise Van Outen had topped the judges' leader board on Saturday night, despite suffering whiplash in rehearsals the previous week.
