Brrr! Britain's certainly been cold over the weekend with snow falling across the country.

But temperatures are set to pick up before Wednesday, with the weather going back to wet and windy.

A spokesperson for the Met Office told The Huffington Post UK it will start getting chilly again by mid-week.

"It wasn't as cold last night, temperatures are already into 11 degrees, maybe 12. But as we go through the course of the week we'll see them tailing off a little bit."

Not too quickly though. "What we will see is a bit of a change as we head into the middle of week onwards," they said.

"At the weekend another band of rain pushing its way through."
