Google has unveiled its latest 'Doodle' homepage art in celebration of children's author Maurice Sendak.

Famous for his books Where The Wild Things Are and In the Night Kitchen, Sendak would have been 85 on June 10.

The animated doodle features scenes from some of Sendak's best-loved books., and has become an immediate hit on social media. Sendak's name was trending early on Monday as his fans woke up to find the Doodle on Google's homepage.
