Chris Brown has announced he is considering quitting the music industry after the release of his upcoming album.
In a message aimed at his critics, he wrote on Twitter:
Don't worry mainstream America. After this X album, it'll probably be my last album.— Chris Brown (@chrisbrown) August 6, 2013
Referencing the time he was convicted of assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna, he added:
Being famous is amazing when it's for ur music and talent. I'm tired of being famous for a mistake I made when i was 18. I'm cool & over it!— Chris Brown (@chrisbrown) August 6, 2013
Brown and the music industry that supports him have faced near-constant criticism since the horrific event that took place before the 2009 Grammys.
And in May, it was revealed Brown had even received death threats via multiple anonymous calls to the office of his attorney, Mark Geragos, TMZ reported.
'X,' Brown's sixth studio album, is out in stores on 20 August. Do you think the Grammy Award-winner will seriously quit music after its release? Let us know in the comments below.
