Apple has announced an event to unveil its latest iPhone(s) for September 10.
The Californian tech giant sent out invites to journalists stating that it would "brighten everyone's day".
In a clue as to what will be unveiled, the colour scheme on the invite matched that used in its upcoming mobile operating system refresh, iOS 7, as well as leaked pictures of its new lower-cost handset.
It is not thought that rumoured updates to its iPad line-up will be made at the event - instead those are expected to come at a later, separate announcement later in the autumn.
