An academy in London appears to have banned students from using slang words in an attempt to crack down on the use of urban language.
Many have taken to social media sites in outrage at the news phrases and words such as "you woz", "bare" and "innit" will no longer be tolerated at Harris Academy in Upper Norwood.
The institution is one of 27 academies and free schools in and around London sponsored by the Harris Federation.
The school has seemingly put up signs with a list of "banned words," which was posted online by one disgruntled Twitter user.
The Harris Academy in Norwood has started banning words. Fuck them obviously: pic.twitter.com/MkK8bqZ65v

Labour MP for Tottenham David Lammy defended the move, only lamenting that "sup blood" was not included.
He told the Daily Mail: "I think this is a very good idea. Speaking slang is fine in a social setting but a school should be a professional, educational environment and if part of that means banning slang then that’s fine by me."
The MP added the move would aid students in getting a job.
Other, however, have reacted less positively:
The fuckwits at Harris Academy that go around banning words have more in common with imperialist dictators than they do educators.

I'm going to stop talking about the "banning slang is ridiculous and won't work and is ridiculous" thing now, but fuck you, Harris Academy.

Harris Academy in Upper Norwood is a white supremacist project with government funding and control of children.
