Objectification, Ridicule And Stereotypes: How The Media Has Failed Women In 2013

While 2013 has seen many improvements to the representation of women in media - the No More Page 3 campaign now has in excess of 125,000 signatures and young women such as Malala Yousafzai are featuring in TIME's 100 list of most influential people - this is no time to rest on our laurels.

As Miss Representation - a movement working tirelessly to expose gender stereotypes in the media - highlight in their new video, the media has failed women miserably in 2013.

From exposing the realities of photoshop to sexist advertising, their recent video shows how women continue to be stereotyped, undermined and objectified in the media.
