Labour are in big need of some money with news that unions are reducing donations - luckily for them a rather well-known alumnus has some very deep pockets.

Tony Blair, who will soon enter the Sunday Times Rich List for the first time, has an estimated worth of £75m - not too shabby for an ex-PM who was never paid more than £200,00 a year when he was in No10.

So what are some of the sources of his dosh?

  • Handbags
  • Margaret Thatcher was famed for her handbag, but it's Blair who advises French fashion house Louis Vuitton.
  • Climate Change
  • Floods of cash: he has a six-figure-salary job, advising Swiss financial firm, Zurich Insurance, on... climate change.
  • Public Speaking
  • £6,000 a minute: Blair is believed to be the highest-paid public speaker in the world.
  • Kazakhstan
  • Blair, champion of democracy, has a multi-million-pound advising Kazakh dictator Nursultan Nazarbayev on 'good governance'.
  • Banking
  • Forget the financial crash, he's estimated to make £2m a year advising US investment bank J.P. Morgan.
