Dramatic footage has emerged showing the explosion that devastated two apartment buildings in Harlem, New York on Wednesday. Released by the New York Fire Department and broadcast by CBS, the chilling footage shows windows being blown out, debris flying across the road, a man being pushed back by the blast and finally thick smoke engulfing the area.
The destruction, which left eight people dead and scores injured, is believed to have been caused by a gas leak, with local resident complaining of an acrid smell before the explosion.
