In their ongoing quest to make the entire world viewable through your computer screen (apart from these forbidden places) , Google Street View has added some truly remarkable places recently.

As well as the canals of Venice, underwater museums and Tom Daley's swimming trunks, viewers can now immerse themselves in the utter delight that is Cambodia's Angkor Wat temple complex.

There are over 100 temples to peruse and you're not just limited to wandering the paths outside as you can also enter building to gaze upon the ancient carvings inside.

If that's tickled your interest into all things historical then be sure to check out the Google Cultural Institute where there is enough material on a massive variety of topics to keep you entertained for years.

But don't forget, as cool as all these things are, they're no substitute for leaving the house and actually seeing them in real life.
